SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this Act
shall take effect forty—five days after its enactment.

AN ACT to revise and reconstitute the councilmanic
districts of Baltimore County in accordance with the
latest census figures published as a result of the
U. S. census of 1970, as required by section 207 of
the Baltimore County Charter.

WHEREAS, section 207 of the Baltimore County Charter
empowers and directs the County Council to consider the
revision of councilmanic districts along population lines
at determined by the 1960 U. S. census and every ten
years thereafter; and

WHEREAS, the results of the 1970 census, conducted
by the U. S. Bureau of Census, show the need for revising
said district lines, as set forth herein.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND, that, under and by virtue of
the authority vested in it by section 207 of the
Baltimore County Charter, the Councilmanic Districts of
the County be and are hereby revised and reconstituted,
to read as follows:

Baltimore County is hereby divided into seven
councilmanic districts composed of the following election
districts as they now exist:

Councilmanic                                        Present Election District

District                                                    or parts thereof

I            So much of Precinct 3 south of I—70,
Precincts 4 through 18, and 20 through
31, both inclusive, of the 1st Election
District; and the entire 13th Election
District.

II           Precincts 1, 2, and so much of Precinct
