COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

NOT BE OVER-TIGHTENED; SAID JOINTS MAY BE TIGHTENED
ONE-HALF (1/2) TO ONE (1) FULL TURN WITH A STRAP WRENCH
AFTER HAND TIGHTENING.

(B)         JOINTS MAY BE MADE BY CAULKING WITH LEAD AND
OAKUM, OR BY USE OF A COMPRESSION GASKET THAT IS
COMPRESSED WHEN THE PLASTIC PIPE IS INSERTED INTO THE
CAST IRON HUB END OF THE PIPE. NO ADAPTERS ARE REQUIRED
FOR THIS CONNECTION.

(C)         TWO (2) PIPES WITH THE SAME OUTSIDE DIAMETER
MAY BE JOINED WITH AN APPROVED ELASTOMERIC SEALING SLEEVE
AND STAINLESS STEEL CLAMP, CLAMPING SCREW AND HOUSING.

(3)       SECTION 401.9 PLASTIC PIPE TO METAL PIPE

A COMPRESSION TYPE FITTING SHALL BE USED TO CONNECT
PLASTIC PIPE TO METAL PIPE.

(4)          SECTION 407 VICTAULIC PIPE, COUPLINGS AND FITTINGS

VICTAULIC COUPLINGS, STYLE 77 AND 75, AND VICTAULIC
"FULL FLOW" FITTINGS MAY BE USED IN SINGLE AND

MULTI-STORY BUILDING STRUCTURES FOR ROOF AND/OR STORM
DRAINS, CHILLED AND CONDENSATE WATER PIPING IN AIR
CONDITIONING SYSTEMS, DRAIN, WASTE AND VENT SYSTEMS, AND
HOT AND COLD WATER DOMESTIC SYSTEMS.

(5)       SECTION 806 STRAINS AND STRESSES

806.1      INSTALLATION OF PIPE

PIPING IN A PLUMBING SYSTEM SHALL BE SO INSTALLED AS
TO PREVENT UNDUE STRAINS AND STRESSES.

806.2      EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION

PROVISION SHALL BE MADE FOR EXPANSION OF PIPING AND
FOR STRUCTURAL SETTLEMENT THAT MAY AFFECT THE PIPING.

(6)       SECTION 901.1

(B) ACID WASTE

ACID AND CHEMICAL WATER PIPES, VENT PIPES, AND
FITTINGS SHALL BE OF MATERIALS UNAFFECTED BY THE
DISCHARGE OF SUCH WASTES.

(7)   SECTION 1600.8.1

(G) SEEPAGE PITS SHALL
TIMES THE DIAMETER OF THE
SIDE TO SIDE.
