ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

WITH THE DRAIN FROM A BACK-VENTED LAVATORY SERVING AS A
WET VENT FOR A BATHTUB OR SHOWER STALL AND FOR THE WATER
CLOSET, PROVIDED THAT:

(A)       NOT MORE THAN ONE (1) FIXTURE UNIT IS
DRAINED INTO A ONE AND ONE-HALF INCH (1 1/2") DIAMETER
WET VENT OR MORE THAN FOUR (4) FIXTURE UNITS DRAIN INTO A
TWO INCH (2") DIAMETER WET VENT.

(B)       THE HORIZONTAL BRANCH SHALL BE A MINIMUM
OF TWO INCHES (2") AND CONNECT TO THE STACK AT THE SAME
LEVEL AS THE WATER CLOSET DRAIN OR BELOW THE WATER CLOSET
DRAIN WHEN INSTALLED ON THE TOP FLOOR. SAID BRANCH MAY
ALSO CONNECT TO THE WATER CLOSET BEND.

(30)       SECTION 1206 STACK VENTING

1206.1 FIXTURE GROUPS

A SINGLE BATHROOM GROUP OF FIXTURES CONSISTING
OF A WATER CLOSET, BASIN, SHOWER OR TUB AND A KITCHEN
SINK (WITH DISPOSAL AND DISHWASHER) LOCATED BACK-TO-BACK
TO THE BATHROOM, OR TWO (2) BATHROOMS BACK-TO-BACK, EACH
CONSISTING OF ONE (1) TOILET, BASIN, SHOWER OR TUB MAY BE
INSTALLED WITHOUT INDIVIDUAL FIXTURE VENTS IN A ONE-STORY
BUILDING OR ON THE TOP FLOOR OF A BUILDING PROVIDED EACH
FIXTURE DRAIN CONNECTS INDEPENDENTLY TO THE STACK AND IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS IN TABLE 1211.1. A SIDE
INLET CONNECTION INTO A FULL FOUR INCH (4") CLOSET BEND
SHALL BE CONSIDERED TO BE AN INDEPENDENT CONNECTION TO
THE STACK.

1206.2 LOWER FLOORS

LOWER FLOORS MAY BE VENTED AS SET FORTH IN PARAGRAPH
1206.1, PROVIDED THAT (I) A SEPARATE WYE AND UPRIGHT
ONE-EIGHTH (1/8) BEND IS INSTALLED IN THE STACK, (II) THE
STACK GROUP IS INSTALLED ABOVE THE ONE-EIGHTH (1/8) BEND,
AND (III) A TWO INCH (2") VENT IS INSTALLED NOT LESS THAN
SIX INCHES (6") ABOVE THE FLOOD LINE OF THE TOP FIXTURE.

(31)       SECTION 1207.4 LOOP VENTS

A FIXTURE OTHER THAN A KITCHEN SINK OR DISPOSAL
HAVING A HYDRAULIC LOAD OF NOT MORE THAN TWO (2) FIXTURE
UNITS MAY BE CONNECTED TO A TWO INCH (2") LOOP VENT,
CIRCUIT VENT, OR TO THE RELIEF VENT USED WITH A LOOP OR
CIRCUIT VENT; AND IN CASE OF FOUR (4) FIXTURE UNITS TO A
THREE INCH (3") LOOP VENT, CIRCUIT VENT OR TO THE RELIEF
VENT USED WITH A LOOP OR CIRCUIT VENT, IF:

(1) NO OTHER FIXTURE IS DRAINED TO THE VENT
PIPE, AND
