COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

HORIZONTAL DRAIN BY MEANS OF A 3" X 4" WYE SHALL BE
ACCEPTABLE; PROVIDED THAT THE FOUR INCH (4") DRAIN SHALL
NOT RECEIVE THE DISCHARGE OF ANY STACK AND THAT IT SHALL
RECEIVE ONLY THE DISCHARGE OF FIXTURES LOCATED ON THE
FLOOR OR WALL IMMEDIATELY ABOVE THE FOUR INCH (4") DRAIN.
ALL SUCH FOUR INCH (4") HORIZONTAL DRAIN LINES SHALL, BE
SIZED, GRADED, AND VENTED AS IF THE FOUR INCH (4") DRAIN
WERE A THREE INCH (3") HORIZONTAL DRAIN.

(26)   SECTION 1100.7.2 OFFSETS OF MORE THAN 45 DEGREES

A STACK WITH AN OFFSET OF MORE THAN FORTY-FIVE
DEGREES (45°) FROM THE VERTICAL SHALL BE SIZED AS
FOLLOWS:

THE PORTION OF THE STACK ABOVE THE OFFSET SHALL BE
SIZED AS FOR A REGULAR STACK BASED ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF
FIXTURE UNITS ABOVE THE OFFSET.

THE OFFSET SHALL BE SIZED AS FOR A BUILDING DRAIN.
(TABLE 1100.2A)

THE PORTION OF THE STACK BELOW THE OFFSET SHALL BE
SIZED AS FOR THE OFFSET OR BASED ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF
FIXTURE UNITS ON THE ENTIRE STACK WHICHEVER IS THE
LARGER. (SEE TABLE 1100.2B COLUMN 4).

A RELIEF VENT FOR THE OFFSET SHALL BE INSTALLED AS
PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 12 AND IN NO CASE SHALL A HORIZONTAL
BRANCH CONNECT TO THE STACK WITHIN TWO FEET (2') ABOVE OR
BELOW THE OFFSET.

FIXTURE BRANCHES MAY BE INSTALLED IN THE HORIZONTAL
SECTION BETWEEN OFFSETS PROVIDED NO CONNECTIONS ARE MADE
UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF OFFSETS.

(27)   SECTION 1201.1 LOSS OF SEAL BY EVAPORATION

FLOOR DRAIN TRAP SEALS SHALL BE FED FROM AN APPROVED
PLUMBING FIXTURE OR BY MEANS OF AN APPROVED AUTOMATIC
PRIMING DEVICE OR BY ANY OTHER ARRANGEMENT THAT IS
APPROVED BY THE ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITY.

(28)   SECTION 1204.4 SIDE INLET

ALL SIDE INLET CLOSET BENDS SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN
FOUR INCHES (4") IN DIAMETER AND SHALL BE PERMITTED ONLY
IN INSTALLATION WERE THE FIXTURE CONNECTING THERETO IS
VENTED; IN NO INSTALLATION SHALL THE INLET BE USED TO
VENT A BATHROOM GROUP WITHOUT BEING WASHED BY A FIXTURE.

(29)   SECTION 1205.1 SINGLE BATHROOM GROUPS - TOP FLOOR

A SINGLE GROUP OF FIXTURES MAY BE INSTALLED
