Supplements), Title 12, "Licenses, Permits and
Franchises", Subtitle 13, "Taxicabs", be and it is hereby
repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

Section 12-1337

(a) Each taximeter shall be set to register fares
on the following schedule of rates:

For [each] THE FIRST HALF mile or fraction thereof..

........................................ [$0.60] $0.70

For each additional [one—fifth] ONE—SIXTH mile after

the first HALF mile.............................. .10

[For each service call........................ 20]

[For any call answered one mile or more from the cab
stand which does not return within a one mile
zone of the cab stand where the pick—up was
made, to be measured from the main office of
any established cab stand owner, whichever may

be closer..........................................50]

For each one minute period of waiting time...          .10

For each suitcase carried, in excess of two..          ...10

For each trunk or footlocker or duffle bag... 1.00

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Sections 12—1322 (a) and (b) of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements) , Title
12, "Licenses, Permits and Franchises", Subtitle 13,
"Taxicabs", to require taxicabs to undergo annual
inspections; to require taxicab meters to undergo
semi-annual inspections; to make certain technical
corrections in the law; and matters generally related
thereto.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Sections 12-1322 (a)
and (b) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 12, "Licenses, Permits and
Franchises", Subtitle 13, "Taxicabs", be and they are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
