(11)   SCREENING SHALL. BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 13-300.11 UNLESS THE NATURAL
TERRAIN EFFECTIVELY SCREENS ADJACENT SITES.

(12)   ALL MEDICAL AND DENTAL CLINIC SITES AND
STRUCTURES SHALL POSSESS AN EXTERIOR DESIGN WHICH IS
COMPATIBLE WITH THE PREVAILING RESIDENTIAL ARCHITECTURE
AND APPEARANCE OF THE SURROUNDING AREA.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid for any
reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provisions
or application, and to this end, all the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty—five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments. Sections 13-304.1(2) and 13-305.1(1) of the
Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements),
Title 13, "Planning and Zoning", Subtitle 3, "Alternate
Zoning Regulations", Article III, "Residential
Districts", Headings, "R1 — Residential Districts" and
"R2 — Residential Districts", to allow kennels as a
permitted use by special exception in R1 — Residential
Districts subject to certain conditions; to make a
technical correction in the law; and to repeal and
re—enact, with amendments. Section 13—343.17 of said
Code, Title and Subtitle, Article XI, "Special
Exceptions", Heading, "Specific Standards", Subheading,
"Other Special Exceptions", to set forth the standards
for allowing kennels as a special exception in said
residential districts; and matters generally related
thereto.
