COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

Bill No. 12-74

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments. Sections 12—256, 12—257 and 12—272 of the
Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements),
Title 12, "Licenses, Permits and Franchises", Subtitle 2,
"Amusements", Article II, "Fees and Regulations", to
provide special licenses for charitable organizations
operating class H, class M and class R licenses devices
or bingo games; to set forth requirements and fees for
said license; to make certain technical corrections in
the law; and matters generally related thereto.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Sections 12-256,
12-257 and 12-272 of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 12, "Licenses, Permits
and Franchises", Subtitle 2, "Amusements", Article II,
"Fees and Regulations", be, and they are hereby repealed
and re—enacted, with amendments to read as follows:

Section 12-256.

[No class NA, class NB or class NC license shall be
required for the operation of any such bingo game or any
patriotic, educational, religious, charitable, benevolent
or civic organization or volunteer fire company or other
agency authorized by law to operate any such game.]

(A)        No [such] CLASS NA, NB OR NC license shall
be issued by the department of inspections and permits,
except upon a written order of the director of the
department, which order shall not be issued until all of
the following requirements have been met:

(B)        An application for the issuance of such
license shall be filed not less than thirty (30) days
prior to the issuance of such order by the director of
the department, which application shall set forth:

[a] (1) The name and address of the applicant,
and trade name, if any.

[b] (2) If an individual or partnership, the
names and addresses of such individuals or partners.
