LICENSES

ARTICLE I
Business Licenses

42—1. Licenses required; fees

No person, firm, association, or corporation located
in or operating from or in the Town of Riverdale shall
barter, sell, or otherwise dispose of for any valuable
consideration, or shall offer for sale any goods,
chattels, wares, or other merchandise or services, or
perform the generally recognized professions, including
but not limited to the practice of medicine, dentistry,
law, etc., or engage in the soliciting of business
without first obtaining a license from the town in the
manner and form prescribed for the purpose. Provided,
however, that this shall not apply to activities
conducted on behalf of the Riverdale Fire Department,
Inc., or for exclusively religious, charitable, or
educational purposes. Business licenses shall run from
July 1 through June 30 of the following year. Fees for
such licenses shall be as follows:

Apartment houses as defined by Zoning or Special
Exception...............................$10.00 per unit

Auto Repair Shops.............................$50.00

Banks and trust companies and building associations.
..................................................150.00

Barbers........................................10.00

Beauty parlors................................10.00

Cleaning, dyeing, pressing and tailoring.......50.00

Coin operated machines.....................5.00 each

Gasoline stations..............................75.00

Hospitals.....................................100.00

Job printing S publication.....................25.00

Laundries......................................50.00

Mobile vendors.........................5.00 per unit

Professional offices such as doctors, dentists,
lawyers, etc.......................................100.00
