EMERGENCY MEASURE
RESOLUTION 74-R-19

WHEREAS the tax assessments need to be reviewed to
be included in the current budget,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Chap. 59, Tax
Exemptions — Real Property, of the Code of the Town of
Riverdale be amended as follows:

59—1. Provisions

Insert a new § to be §B.

B. GROSS INCOME SHALL MEAN "INCOME FROM ALL SOURCES
EXCEPT PAYMENTS FROM SOCIAL SECURITY AND RAILROAD
RETIREMENT WHICH SHALL BE EXCLUDED IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
PERSONS RECEIVING $1,500 OR LESS IN SOCIAL SECURITY OR
RAILROAD RETIREMENT MAY ALSO EXCLUDE FROM THEIR GROSS
INCOME THE SUM OF ANY PENSIONS OR ANNUITIES RECEIVED
UNDER PUBLIC RETIREMENT SYSTEMS, E.G., FEDERAL, STATE
GOVERNMENTS, ETC., EQUAL TO THE DIFFERENCE OF $1,500 LESS
THE AMOUNT OF SOCIAL SECURITY OR RAILROAD RETIREMENT
RECEIVED.

Present § B. to be renumbered § C.

AND FURTHERMORE BE IT RESOLVED that this amendment
be effective for the fiscal year of 1974-1975.

Adopted this 15th day of April, 1974, as an
Emergency Ordinance, in legislative body with the
following vote: For 5 Against 0

Effective Date: April 15, 1974.

WHEREAS it is desirous that the Town of Riverdale
update Chapter 42 of the Code of the Town of Riverdale on
Licenses, adopted in 1962 and 1965,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Chapter be
amended as follows:
