the President & Commissioners of Princess Anne or mailed
to it by registered sail, a petition meeting the
requirement of Section 13 (g) of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland petitioning the same for
referendum.
FURTHERMORE, said proposed amendment shall be
published in the Marylander and Herald not less than four
times, at weekly intervals, within a period of at least
forty days after the adoption of this Resolution.
SO PASSED, RESOLVED AND ORDAINED this 8th day of
May, 1974.

CHARTER AMENDMENT No. 10
RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Commissioners of the
Town of Rising Sun, adopted pursuant to the authority of
Article XIE of the Constitution of Maryland, and Section
19 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), 1966 Replacement Volume, entitled
"Corporations—Municipal", for the enlargement of the
corporate boundaries of said town by the annexation of
certain land contiguous to and adjoining the existing
corporate area by amending the provisions of the Cecil
County Code, Chapter 31, which incorporates the Charter
of the Town of Rising Sun, Chapter 31—9, entitled
Corporate boundaries, and more particularly subsection
(a) thereof.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 19(c) of Article
23A of the Annotated code of Maryland (1957 Edition) at
least 25 percent or more of the registered voters in
County elections who reside in the hereinafter described
area to be annexed, and the owners of at least 25 percent
of the assessed valuation in said area have properly
petitioned the Board of Commissioners of the Town of
Rising Sun, to annex said area into the corporate
boundaries of the Town of Rising Sun; and
WHEREAS, upon presentation of the petition of the
Board of Commissioners of the Town of Rising Sun, the
presiding officer thereof ascertained that there are no
registered voters residing in the area to be annexed; and
