amendment shall be published in the News-Post, a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of
Myersville, Frederick County, Maryland, once in each of
the weeks of March 25, April 1, April 8 and April 15,
1974; and all Sections of the Charter or Ordinances or
parts of the Sections of the Charter or Ordinances
inconsistent with the provisions of this Resolution be
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
SECTION IV: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND
ORDAINED, that the Mayor of the Town of Myersville shall
send separately by registered mail to the Secretary of
the State of Maryland and of the Department of
Legislative Reference the complete text hereof, the date
of Referendum election, if any; the number of votes cast
for and against the question containing the Charter
amendment, whether in the legislative body or in a
referendum and effective date of the Charter amendment.

RESOLUTION NO. 3-74
A Resolution to amend the Charter of the Town of
Myersville to change Section 24 (Nominations) by
repealing said Section and replacing in lieu thereof a
new Section 24 (Nominations.).
SECTION I: BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by
the Mayor and Council of the Town of Myersville, pursuant
to Article XI—E, Municipal Corporations of the
Constitution of Maryland, that Section 24 (Nominations),
Charter of the Town of Myersville, 1963, be amended by
deleting the present Section 24 (Nominations) which is as
follows;
[24. (Nominations)
Persons may be nominated for elective office in the
Town by filing a certificate of nomination signed by ten
registered voters in the Town. Such certificate shall
state the following: (1) The office which the candidate
is seeking nomination, (2) The name of the candidate, (3)
A statement that the signers of the certificate are
registered voters and property owners, (4) The signers
support the nomination of the named candidate. The
certificate shall be filed with the Clerk at least thirty
calendar days prior to the election. No person shall
file for nomination to more than one elective Town public
office or hold more than one elective Town public office
