MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

STREET TO THE PATUXENT RIVER.

[Ward No. 3. The third ward shall embrace all
of the city lying easterly of a line drawn from a
point at which the westerly line of Fourth Street
intersects the Patuxent River thence southerly along
the westerly line of Fourth Street to the northerly
line of Talbott Avenue thence easterly along the
northerly line of Talbott Avenue to the westerly
line of Washington Boulevard thence southerly along
the westerly line of Washington Boulevard to Crow's
Branch, the city boundary.]

WARD NO. 3. THE THIRD WARD SHALL EMBRACE ALL
OF THE TOWN LYING NORTHERLY OF THE NORTHERLY LIMITS
OF THE "FAIRLAWN" DISTRICT OF LAUREL, AND EASTERLY
OF THE WESTERLY LINE OF FOURTH STREET AND RACE
STREET.

[Ward No. 4. The fourth ward shall embrace
all of that part of the city known as and called the
"Fairlawn" district of Laurel which lies westerly of
the westerly line of Eighth Street. It shall also
include all of that portion of the First 1968
Annexation lying southerly of the north right of way
line of Maryland State Route 198.]

WARD NO. 4. THE FOURTH WARD SHALL EMBRACE ALL
OF THE TOWN KNOWN AS AND CALLED THE "FAIRLAWN"
DISTRICT OF LAUREL, AS THE SAME AS DESCRIBED AND
DELIMITED IN AND BY SECTION 852A OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE
ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, PASSED AT
ITS SPECIAL SESSION OF 1950, THE SAME BEING SECTION
977 (A) OF THE 1953 EDITION OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC
LOCAL LAWS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, BEING ARTICLE
17 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND,
COMPILED AND EDITED BY CARL N. EVERSTINE.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the date of the adoption of
the Resolution is the 11th day of February, 1974, and
that the Amendment to the Charter of the City of Laurel,
hereby proposed by this enactment, shall be and become
effective on the 3rd day of April, 1974, and a copy of
the title of this Resolution shall be published in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of Laurel
not less than four times at weekly intervals before the
8th day of March, 1974.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as soon as the Charter
Amendment hereby enacted shall become effective, either
as herein provided or following a referendum, the Mayor
of the City of Laurel shall send separately by registered
mail, to the Secretary of the State of Maryland, to the
Department of Legislative Reference, Hall of Records
Commission and State Library, the following information
concerning the Charter Amendment:
