County is Section 6 of the Charter of The Town of
Hampstead.
Adopted this 21st day of October, 1974.

CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 3
"Minimum Age of Twenty—five for Mayor"
A resolution of the Mayor and Council of The Town of
Hampstead, Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of
Article 11—E of the Constitution of the State of
Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23—A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1957 edition as amended, to amend the
Charter of The Town of Hampstead, this amendment to be
entitled "Minimum Age of Twenty-five for Mayor," such
being the third amendment to that charter, by repealing
and re—enacting with amendments Section 56
"Qualifications," of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Carroll County, 1965 edition as amended, said amendment
to establish a minimum age of twenty—five years for the
Mayor of the town.
Section 1. Be it resolved by the Mayor and Council
of The Town of Hampstead, Maryland, that Section 56
"Qualifications," of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Carroll County, 1965 edition as amended, be amended by
repealing it and re-enacting it to read as indicated
below. All words to be added are capitalized.
56. Qualifications.
The mayor must have resided in the town for at least
one year immediately preceding his election, BE AT LEAST
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF AGE and must be a qualified voter of
the town.
