CANDIDATES AND VOTERS AND TO PROVIDE FOR ABSENTEE VOTING
IF DEEMED DESIRABLE.

(29)   ZONING. - TO EXERCISE THE POWERS AS TO
PLANNING AND ZONING, CONFERRED UPON MUNICIPAL
CORPORATIONS GENERALLY IN ARTICLE 66B OF THE ANNOTATED
CODE OF MARYLAND, SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS AND
PROVISIONS OF SAID ARTICLE.

(30)  SAVING CLAUSE. - THE ENUMERATION OF POWERS IN
THIS SECTION IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS LIMITING THE
POWERS OF THE TOWN TO THE SEVERAL SUBJECTS MENTIONED.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution
shall become effective the 29th day of March, 1974.

Galestown this 4th day of February, 1974.

TOWN COUNCIL OF GLENARDEN, MARYLAND

WHEREAS, House Bill 928, enacted by the Maryland
General Assembly adds Section 47 to Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland calling for municipalities to
provide for absentee voting.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
GLENARDEN sitting in Regular Session this 8th day of
April, 19 as follows;

Section 1. Pursuant to Article 23A Section 12 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland 1957 Edition, as amended that
Section 20 of the present Charter of Glenarden as adopted
May 5, 1973, is hereby amended by re-numbering the
existing Section 20 as 20A, and adding immediately
thereafter a new section 20B providing for absentee
voting, said Charter as amended shall read as follows:

20. A. (VOTERS) Every person who (a) is a citizen of
the United States, (b) is at least eighteen (18) years
of age, (c) has resided in the State of Maryland for at
