ARTICLE 22 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF
MARYLAND), TITLE "WASHINGTON COUNTY", SUB-TITLE,
"FUNKSTOWN".

Resolution of Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown
unanimously passed on February 19, 1970 and adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article 11—E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Sections 13 and 17 of
Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1966
Replacement Volume, title "Corporations, Municipal,"
subtitle "Home Rule", subheading "Charter Amendments", as
said Sections were amended by Section 1, Chapter 410 of
the Laws of Maryland of 1967, to change the corporate
charter of the Town of Funkstown and the designated names
of the corporate elected officials of Funkstown as
defined in Sections, 232, 234, 236, 237, 238, 239, 241,
242, 243, 244, 245,, 246, 247, 248, 249, 252, 253, 254,
255, 256 and 257 of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Washington County, (1957 Edition), title
"Washington County", subtitle, "Funkstown", by changing
the corporate name of the Town from "Burgess and
Commissioners of Funkstown" to "Mayor and Council of
Funkstown" and to change the designated names of the
corporate officials of said Town from "Bvurgess,
Assistant Burgess and Commissioners" to "Mayor, Assistant
Mayor and Council".

SECTION 1. Be It Resolved by the Burgess and
Commissioners of Funkstown that the corporate charter is
hereby amended to change the corporate name of the Town
from "Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown" to "Mayor
and Council of Funkstown" and to change the designated
names of the corporate elected officials of said Town
from "Burgess, Assistant Burgess and Commissioners" to
"Mayor, Assistant Mayor and Council", this change to be
made in each and every section of said Code of Public
Local Laws of Washington County, (1957 Edition), being
Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
substituting the new corporate name to "Mayor and Council
of Funkstown" and substituting the designated names of
corporate elected officials to "Mayor, Assistant Mayor
and Council" in all of the following applicable Sections:
232, 234, 236, 237, 238, 239, 241, 242, 243, 245, 246,
247, 248, 249, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256 and 257, said
Sections with the amendments shall read as follows:
