following information concerning the Charter Amendment or
amendments: the date of the referendum election, if any,
the number of votes cast for and against the Charter
Amendment or amendments, whether in the legislative body
or in a referendum, and the effective date of the Charter
Amendment.
The Charter Amendment enacted by the foregoing
Resolution became effective this sixth day of August,
1974.

RESOLUTION NO. 42
RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF EASTON TO AMEND THE CHARTER
Resolution of the Town of Easton, adopted pursuant
to the authority of Maryland Constitution, Art. XI—E,
entitled "Municipal Corporations", "Home Rule", and
Maryland Code (1957, 1973 Repl. Vol.) Art. 23A, § 13,
entitled, "Corporations—Municipal", "Home Rule", "Charter
Amendments", "Initiation by legislative body", to add new
sections to be numbered Article V, Section 3A and
Sections 30—1 to 30-9, inclusive, to the Charter of the
Town of Easton (Article 21 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 ed.), as amended, titled "Talbot
County", subtitled "Easton"), to provide, in Section 3A,
for registration of absentee voters as set forth in
Maryland Code (1957, 1971 Repl. Vol.) Art. 33, § 3-7, as
amended, and to provide, in Sections 30—1 to 30—9,
inclusive, for absentee voting, including who may vote,
voting procedure, elections in which absentee voters may
vote, application for absentee ballots, application
forms, passing on the applications, ballot forms,
instructions to voters, and canvassing of ballots, as set
forth in Maryland Code (1957, 1971 Repl. Vol.) Art. 33,
§§ 27—1 to 27—9, inclusive as amended.
SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF EASTON, that the following new Section 3A of the
Charter of the Town of Easton, being part of Article V
thereof, shall be and is hereby added to said Charter of
the Town of Easton, which new Section shall read as
follows:
