may then exist, but the Board members so elected to fill
such vacancies shall serve only for the remainder of the
unexpired term to which they shall have been elected.
All elections shall be held upon reasonable prior notice
of the time and place of such meeting to all registered,
qualified voters within the corporate limits of Chevy
Chase Village. Only registered, qualified voters of the
State of Maryland having lived within the corporate
limits of Chevy Chase Village for six months prior to the
election shall be eligible to be elected as members of
the Board of Managers. Only registered, qualified voters
of the State of Maryland having resided within the
corporate limits of Chevy Chase Village for six months
prior to the election shall be entitled to vote at said

YEAR OR ON THE THIRD SATURDAY THEREAFTER AS HEREINAFTER
PROVIDED FOR, AN ELECTION MEETING SHALL BE HELD AT WHICH
BOARD MEMBERS SHALL BE ELECTED FOR TWO YEARS TO SUCCEED
THOSE WHOSE TEEMS ARE AT THAT TIME EXPIRING, AND AT WHICH
BOARD MEMBERS SHALL BE ELECTED TO FILL ANY VACANCIES THAT
MAY THEN EXIST, BUT THE BOARD MEMBERS SO ELECTED TO FILL
SUCH VACANCIES SHALL SERVE ONLY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE
UNEXPIRED TERM TO WHICH THEY SHALL HAVE BEEN ELECTED.

LIMITS OF CHEVY CHASE VILLAGE FOR 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE
ELECTION SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO BE ELECTED AS MEMBERS OF
THE BOARD OF MANAGERS. ONLY REGISTERED, QUALIFIED VOTERS
OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND HAVING RESIDED WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF CHEVY CHASE VILLAGE FOP 30 DAYS PRIOR
TO THE ELECTION SHALL BE ENTITLED TO VOTE AT SAID
MEETING; Provided, however, that this resolution be
posted at the Town Hall for a period of at least forty
days following the date of its adoption and provided
further that a summary of this resolution be published in
a newspaper of general circulation within Chevy Chase
Village not less than four times at equal intervals
within a period of at least forty days after the adoption
of this resolution.

This amendment shall become effective following the
compliance with the above—mentioned conditions on the
fiftieth day after its having been passed by the board.
