registered mail to the Secretary of State of Maryland and
to the Department of Legislative Reference, the following
information concerning the charter amendment:

1.    The complete text, as approved, of the
amendment.

2.  The date of the referendum election, if any,
held with respect hereto.

3.   The number of votes cast for and against the
question of this amendment whether by the Board of
Commissioners or in a referendum.

4.  The effective date of this charter amendment.

Adopted this 11th day of June, 1974, by the
Commissioners of the Town of Charlestown, by a vote of 4
votes "for" and 0 votes "against" this Resolution.

RESOLUTION

CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 2-74

"Water and Sewers"

RESOLUTION of the Board of Commissioners of the Town
of Charlestown, Maryland adopted pursuant to the
authority of Article XI—E of the Constitution of Maryland
and of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
1957 edition as amended, title, "Corporations—Municipal",
to amend the Charter of Charlestown, this amendment to be
entitled "Water and Sewers", to establish regulations for
sewers and update the present provision.

Section 1. Be it resolved by the Board of
Commissioners of the Town of Charlestown that Section
25—15, "Water Systems", of the Charter of the Town of
Charlestown be amended to:

a.    Change the title from "Water Systems" to
"Water and Sewers".

b.    Establish regulations for sewage systems and
storm water sewers.

c.    Create sub—sections to amplify the existing
provisions.
