Tuesday in AUGUST [September] succeeding his election and
continue for four years, and until his successor shall be
elected and qualified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a complete and
exact copy of the aforegoing resolution be posted at the
Brunswick City Hall for a period of at least forty (40)
days commencing on December 10, 1974; and that a fair
summary of the aforegoing resolution be published in the
Brunswick Citizen at least four (4) times at weekly
intervals during the aforesaid forty (40) day period; and
the aforegoing resolution shall become a part of the
Municipal Charter of Brunswick on the fiftieth (50th) day
following its adoption unless a petition requesting a
referendum on the matter is submitted to the Mayor and
Council of Brunswick on or before the fortieth (40th) day
following the adoption of this resolution, in compliance
with the provisions of Article 23A, Section 13, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 edition, 1973
replacement volume, as amended).

A RESOLUTION TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT WITH AMENDMENTS
SECTION 16-11, 16-12, 16-13, 16-15, 16-16 AND 16-17 OF
ARTICLE II OF THE CHARTER OF BRUNSWICK, TITLE
"ELECTIONS", SUBTITLES "REVISION OF REGISTRATION;
RECORDS", "SAME-ADVERTISEMENTS; APPEALS; POWERS AND
DUTIES OF OFFICERS OF REGISTRATION.", "QUALIFICATIONS OF
VOTERS.", "HOW CONDUCTS GENERALLY; BALLOTS; VOTING
BOOTHS, ETC.", "CLERKS AND JUDGES OF ELECTIONS" AND
"ELECTION RETURNS; FILING OF CERTIFICATES.",
RESPECTIVELY, (THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF FREDERICK,
MARYLAND) TO REMOVE ANY REFERENCE TO WARDS FROM THE
ELECTION LAWS OF THE TOWN OF BRUNSWICK.
RESOLVED: That Section 16-11 of Article II of the
Charter of Brunswick, title "Elections", subtitle
"Same—Revision of Registration; Records" (Code of the
County of Frederick, Maryland), be repealed and
re—enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
In every other year, on the last Tuesday of the
month of June and on the Wednesday following such
Tuesday, commencing in the year 1956, some suitable
person or persons appointed by the Mayor shall sit as
officer or officers of registration for the purpose of
revising the registration. Such revision shall be made
in conformity with the provisions of the Laws of the
State then in force relating to registration of voters.
The officers of registration shall transfer voters names
