RESOLUTION NO. 216
CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 2 3
A Resolution of The Commissioners of Aberdeen,
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to
repeal and re—enact, with amendments, Subsection 4(c) of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County, title
"Harford County", subtitle "Aberdeen", increasing the
annual compensation of The Commissioners of Aberdeen from
Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) annually to Twelve Hundred
Dollars ($1200.00), with an additional Three Hundred
Dollars ($300.00) annually for the President.
Section 1. Be It Resolved, Ordained, and Enacted by
The Commissioners of Aberdeen, by authority of Article
11E of the Constitution of Maryland and of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as
amended), that Subsection 4(c) of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition, as amended),
being Article 13 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Harford County", subtitle "Aberdeen", be and the
same is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
4(c) Compensation. The Commissioners so elected
shall meet at some convenient place in the Town of
Aberdeen at least once a month or as often as is
necessary to properly discharge the duties of their
office, and shall each receive annual salaries of [six
hundred dollars ($600.00)] TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($1200.00). THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF
ABERDEEN SHALL RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL ANNUAL SALARY OF
THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00).
Section 2. Be It Further Resolved, Ordained, and
Enacted that the salary increase provided by this charter
amendment shall not become effective until all
Commissioners become eligible for the increase after the
election of May, 1975.
Section 3. And Be It Further Resolved, Ordained,
and Enacted that this Resolution shall become effective
fifty (50) days from the date of enactment hereof on the
11th day of February, 1974, and that a copy of this
