with the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's
County, Maryland, by the Board of Canvassers and/or the
Board of Election Supervisors for the aforesaid County
and two copies of the returns for the Special General
Election as certified to this office.

Chapter 322 of the Acts of 1973 submitted to
referendum in Prince George's County the question of
fiscal autonomy for the Board of Education of Prince
George's County. The question was only to take the sense
of the voters. The question was rejected by the voters of
Prince George's County by a vote of 8,600 "for" and
16,010 "against".

STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23—11 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 5, 1974, an Act known as Chapter 599
of the Acts of 1973 was submitted to the voters of
Carroll County under the provisions of Chapter 599, said
Act being as follows:
AN ACT to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 35(b) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code to
Maryland (1972 Supplement), titled "Public Education,"
subtitle "Chapter 4. County Boards of Education"; and to
add new Section 35B to the same article, title and
subtitle, to follow immediately after Section 35A
thereof; providing for the composition, election, salary,
powers and duties of the Board of Education of Carroll
