1974, CHAPTER 886 — Commission on Judicial Disabilities
STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23—11 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 5, 1974, an Act known as Chapter 886
of the Acts of 1974 was submitted to the voters of the
State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of
the Constitution of the State of Maryland, said Act being
as follows:
AN ACT concerning Commission on Judicial
Disabilities, For the purpose of authorizing the
Commission on Judicial Disabilities to recommend to the
Court of Appeals the censure or other appropriate
disciplining of a judge and to issue a reprimand;
authorizing the Court of Appeals to adopt rules governing
the confidentiality of Commission proceedings, and the
record thereof filed in the Court of Appeals; clarifying
the power of the Court of Appeals to act upon the
recommendation of the Commission; and submitting this
amendment to the qualified voters of the State for
adoption or rejection.
And it is hereby certified that at said election,
423,190 votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter
886 and 100,188 votes were cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 886, the said Chapter 886 of the Acts of
1974 has therefore been ratified by the qualified voters
of the State of Maryland.
