House Bill No. 884 — Prince George's County; Operation of
Motor Vehicles on School Property

AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County — Motor Vehicles

FOR the purpose of regulating the operation of motor
vehicles in certain places in Prince George's
County[[; and re—writing a certain section so as to
improve clarity]].

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
884.

This bill regulates the operation of motor vehicles
on any property owned by the Board of Education of Prince
George's County.

House Bill 250, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 8, 1975, is a
statewide law which regulates the operation of motor
vehicles on certain property, including property under
the control of any county board of education. The
purpose of House Bill 884 is thus achieved by the
enactment and signing of House Bill 250.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House
Bill 884.
