Credits
AN ACT concerning
Property Tax Credits for Homeowners and [[Renters]]
[[Cigarette Tax Rates and Revenue Distribution]]
Insurance Premium Tax
[[FOR the purpose of repealing the provision of Chapter
750 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1974
which makes the implementation of that Act
contingent upon the enactment of a revenue bill to
specifically fund the provisions of the Act;
providing for an expanded property tax credit
program for homeowners and renters; requiring the
counties and Baltimore City to guarantee that
persons receiving benefits under existing mandated
programs will not receive a diminution of benefits;
requiring that the counties and Baltimore City shall
assume additional funding for a portion of this
program; providing for the administration of the
program; and matters generally relating to property
tax credits for homeowners and renters.]]
FOR the purpose of repealing certain provisions of
Chapter 750 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
197ft; providing for a property tax credit program
for certain homeowners; providing that persons
receiving benefits under existing tax credit
programs will not receive a diminution of benefits;
requiring that the counties, municipalities and
Baltimore City shall fund a portion of this program;
providing for the administration of the program;
authorizing the counties and Baltimore City to grant
a property tax credit to certain homeowners by
reason of disability; increasing the tax on
