be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to
Members of the Maryland Board of Public Works; Members of
the Baltimore County Delegation to the Maryland General
Assembly; the Secretary, Department of Natural Resources;
Secretary, Department of State Planning; the County
Executive of Baltimore County; Members of the Baltimore
County Council; Members of the Baltimore County Board of
Recreation and Parks; and the Director of the Baltimore
County Department of Recreation and Parks.

A Senate Joint Resolution concerning
Fort McHenry
FOR the purpose of requesting Federal Bicentennial funds
for the restoration of Fort Avenue.
Fort McHenry in Baltimore Harbor is one of this
Country's most revered National Monuments.
It is in fact the fourth greatest tourist attraction
in this Country. The Federal Bicentennial in 1976 will
focus on America's struggle for freedom and there is no
warmer place in the hearts of the American people in our
struggle for freedom than Fort McHenry.
Therefore it is desirable that Fort McHenry and Fort
Avenue be restored and revitalized for the Bicentennial
celebration and that the local community have input on
what it takes to make the Fort McHenry area [[to]] look
American.
Therefore the Federal Government should appropriate
bicentennial funds to revitalize this famous Monument;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
the Federal Government be requested to provide
bicentennial funds for the restoration of Fort Avenue and
the Fort McHenry area; and be it further
