[Ch. 892

REAPPOINTED for new terns if they are qualified under the
provisions of this section.

(c)     The Board shall prepare and recommend a
compensation plan, a classification plan, and
comprehensive rules and regulations governing operation
of the Merit System for commission employees. The Board
shall submit its recommendations to the Commission for
adoption. The Commission may adopt, disapprove, or
modify the Board's recommendations, [provided however,
that] BUT if the Commission does not act on [a] ANY Merit
Board recommendation within [ninety (90)] 90 calendar
days of the date of filing of the recommendation with the
Commission, the recommendation shall be considered
approved. [Any] ALL compensation [plan] PLANS,
classification [plan] PLANS, [or] rules, and regulations
[heretofore] promulgated PREVIOUSLY shall continue in
existence and remain in full force and effect unless and
until THEY ARE modified or amended [as herein provided].

(d)    The Commission may make available to the Board
its records, facilities, employees and [such] THOSE
experts, assistants, and clerks as are necessary to carry
out its duties.

(e)     Members of the Board shall receive a per diem
compensation of [thirty-five ($35.00)] $35 for every day
engaged in the business of the Board, and all members of
the Board shall be reimbursed for their actual expenses
incurred in carrying out their duties.

(f)    Misfeasance, malfeasance, and nonfeasance in
office shall be cause for removal of a Merit Board member
upon proper notice and due consideration by The
Maryland—National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

[13.] 2-113.

The Commission shall publish annually, in at least
one newspaper published in Montgomery County and one in
Prince George's County, a full and true account of its
receipts and disbursements. Prior to the publication,
the accounts shall be audited by a certified public
accountant employed by the Commission for the purpose of
making this audit and certifying to the correctness of
the published account.
