SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Chapter 85 of the Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1972 Edition and 1973 Supplement,
as amended) and Subtitle 59 of the Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition and 1967
Supplement, as amended) to be new Article 66D — Maryland
— National Capital Park and Planning Commission of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

PARK AND PLANNING COMMISSION CONTINUED

[1] 1-101.

[(a)]         The Maryland—National Capital Park and

Planning Commission is continued as a body corporate, to
have and exercise the powers, duties, and functions
provided in this [subtitle] ARTICLE. It is the same
agency as that with the same name created by Chapter 448
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1927,
as subsequently amended from time to time. Hereafter in
this [subtitle] ARTICLE it may be referred to as "the
Commission" or as "Commission."
