awarded credit if he has received credit for a period of
military service under another retirement system, for
which retirement benefits have been or will be received
by him; however, this exclusion does not apply to any
such credit provided through Federal Old Age and
Survivors Insurance (Social Security), the National
Railroad Retirement Act, or to any disability payments
from any pension or retirement system. In addition, the
military service credit herein provided shall not exceed
five years. The State or another employing agency shall
make all necessary contributions to the pension and
annuity funds for the funding of military service credit
upon the attainment of ten years of creditable service by
any member so entitled to the credit. The boards,
trustees, or others charged with the administration of
any pension or retirement fund or system are hereby
authorized to issue rules and regulations to carry out
the provisions of this section, any present rules and
regulations to the contrary notwithstanding. THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION ALSO SHALL PERTAIN TO THOSE
EMPLOYEES WHO RETIRED PRIOR TO JULY 1, 1975.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland — National Capital Park
and Planning Commission
FOR the purpose of transferring the laws of the Maryland
— National Capital Park and Planning Commission from
the Montgomery County Code and the Prince George's
County Code of Public Local Laws to the Annotated
Code of Maryland, making certain stylistic and
technical changes and alterations, deleting and
correcting certain obsolete and superfluous
material, and generally relating to the laws of the
Maryland — National Capital Park and Planning
Commission.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
