FOR the purpose of including certain prescriptions
written by authorized prescribers other than
physicians in the prohibitions against the sale or
delivery of substances other than those prescribed;
making provisions relating to the circumstances
under which the generic forms of certain drugs will
be utilized; making an exception to certain
requirements regarding labelling of prescription
drugs; [[repealing]] amending certain notice
requirements imposed on pharmacists; including
certain drug products approved for listing
according to certain Federal regulations in
provisions relating to dispensing different drugs
from those specified in prescriptions; and
clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 300(i) of Article 27 - Crimes and
Punishments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments
300.
(i) Any person or corporation engaged in the
business of selling prescription drugs, controlled
dangerous substances, medicines, chemicals or
preparations for medical use or of compounding or
dispensing physicians' prescriptions, who shall, in
person or by his or its agents or employees, or as agent
or employee of some other person, knowingly sell or
deliver to any person a drug, medicine, chemical
preparation for medicinal use, recognized or authorized
