Howard County — Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of providing for the issuance of Class D
beer and light wine licenses in Howard County;
specifying an annual fee; altering the sequence of
subsections by adding a new subsection; and
clarifying language.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 16(k) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(k) IN HOWARD COUNTY, THE ANNUAL FEE FOR A CLASS D
BEER AND LIGHT WINE LICENSE IS $175.

(L) This section [shall] DOES not apply to the
City of Annapolis nor to Calvert, Caroline, Charles,
Dorchester, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, [Howard,] Kent,
Queen Anne's, St. Mary's, Somerset, and Talbot counties,
in all of which jurisdictions such licenses [shall] MAY
not be issued.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
