(House Bill 1369)

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County — Elected School Board

FOR the purpose of clarifying succession dates for the
elected school board in Carroll County; requiring
candidates for the Board to be residents of Carroll
County, to limit campaign expenditures, and to
report campaign contributions and expenditures; and
clarifying language.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 77 - Public Education

Section 35B(a)(2) and 35B (b)(2)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 77 - Public Education

Section 35B(b)(4)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 35B(a)(2) and 35B(b)(2) of
Article 77 — Public Education, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
