DEVELOPMENT, REDEVELOPMENT, RENOVATION OF REHABILITATION
OF THE DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. ALL LAND AND PROPERTY
NEEDED OR TAKEN BY THE COUNTY THROUGH THE POWER OF
EMINENT DOMAIN FOR ANY OF THESE PURPOSES IS DECLARED TO
BE NEEDED OR TAKEN FOR PUBLIC USES OR PURPOSES. ALL
ACTIVITIES AUTHORIZED PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION CONSTITUTE
GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS UNDERTAKEN FOR PUBLIC USES AND
PURPOSES, AND THE POWER OF TAXATION MAY BE EXERCISED,
PUBLIC FUNDS EXPENDED, AND PUBLIC CREDIT EXTENDED IN
FURTHERANCE THEREOF. THE POWER OF TAXATION, THE EXERCISE
OF THE POWER OF EMINENT DOMAIN AND THE AUTHORITY TO
EXTEND PUBLIC CREDIT SHALL BE EXERCISED ONLY BY THE
MONTGOMERY COUNTY GOVERNMENT. IN CARRYING OUT THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS CHAPTER, THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY
GOVERNMENT MAY PETITION FOR AND ACCEPT FROM THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA, OR THE STATE OF MARYLAND, OR ANY
DEPARTMENT OR AGENCY OF EITHER, OR ANY OTHER SOURCE, ANY
LOAN, GRANT OR AID OF ANY CHARACTER.
(B) DEVELOP PUBLIC FACILITIES, INCLUDING OFFICE
FACILITIES FOR GOVERNMENTAL USE, ON LAND OR PROPERTY, OR
BOTH, EITHER ALONE OR IN COOPERATION, ASSOCIATION OF
PARTNERSHIP WITH ANY PRIVATE, PUBLIC, OR QUASI-PUBLIC
CORPORATION, PARTNERSHIP, ASSOCIATION, PERSON OR OTHER
LEGAL ENTITY;
(C) SELL, CONVEY, TRANSFER, LEASE OR OTHERWISE
DISPOSE OF ANY OF THAT LAND OR PROPERTY, OR BOTH,
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IS UNDEVELOPED, OR HAS BEEN
DEVELOPED, REDEVELOPED, RENOVATED OR REHABILITATED, AND
REGARDLESS OF THE MANNER OR MEANS BY WHICH IT WAS
ACQUIRED, TO ANY PRIVATE, PUBLIC OR QUASI-PUBLIC
CORPORATION, PARTNERSHIP, ASSOCIATION, PERSON OR OTHER
LEGAL ENTITY, UPON TERMS AND CONDITIONS NECESSARY TO
ASSURE A USE CONSISTENT WITH THE PURPOSES OF THIS
CHAPTER. STATUTORY PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE
ACQUISITION, CLEARANCE, DEMOLITION OR DISPOSITION OF LAND
OR PROPERTY, OR BOTH, BY PUBLIC BODIES DO NOT APPLY TO
ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN HEREUNDER UNLESS MONTGOMERY COUNTY
SO REQUIRES. LAND OR PROPERTY ACQUIRED HEREUNDER MAY NOT
BE LEASED [[OR]] , SOLD , OR OTHERWISE TRANSFERRED BY
MONTGOMERY COUNTY TO A NONPUBLIC ENTITY AT LESS THAN FAIR
MARKET VALUE;
(D) LEND FUNDS TO ANY PUBLIC BODY OR AGENCY, OR
ANY PRIVATE, PUBLIC, OR QUASI-PUBLIC CORPORATION,
PARTNERSHIP, ASSOCIATION, PERSON, OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITY
FOR ANY DEVELOPMENT, REDEVELOPMENT, RENOVATION OR
REHABILITATION;
(E) GRANT FUNDS FOR ANY DEVELOPMENT,
REDEVELOPMENT, RENOVATION OR REHABILITATION TO ANY PUBLIC
BODY OR AGENCY OR ANY PUBLIC OR QUASI-PUBLIC CORPORATION;
AND
