SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three—fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland State Retirement System — Indemnification
of Fiduciaries

FOR the purpose of providing indemnity to any person
serving in a fiduciary capacity to the Employees'
Retirement System, the Teachers' Retirement System
and State Police Retirement System; providing that
the State shall provide insurance on behalf of any
person serving in a fiduciary capacity to the
several systems against any liability asserted
against or incurred by him in such capacity; and
generally relating to the indemnification of persons
serving in a fiduciary capacity to the above merit
systems.
