LAWS OF MARYLAND

[Ch. 850

REPORTS AND SURVEYS WHICH MAY CONTRIBUTE TO THE
PRESERVATION OF THE INTEGRITY OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.

[[(6)]] (4) TO ADVISE AND MAKE
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON THE
AVAILABILITY OF FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL OR PRIVATE SOURCES
OF FUNDS WHICH MAY BE EXPENDED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF THIS
ACT.

(D)    THE COUNCIL ON THE STATE CAPITAL SHALL HAVE NO
STAFF, BUT STAFF SERVICES SHALL BE SUPPLIED BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF
STATE PLANNING. THE COUNCIL ON THE STATE CAPITAL MAY
REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FROM UNITS
OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT, INCLUDING THE MARYLAND
HISTORICAL TRUST, AND SHALL COOPERATE WITH ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY AND THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS. IN THE PERFORMANCE OF
ITS DUTIES THE COUNCIL ON THE STATE CAPITAL SHALL
CONSIDER THE VIEWS OF THE COMMISSION ON THE CAPITAL CITY,
THE MARYLAND HISTORICAL TRUST, THE COMMISSION ON ARTISTIC
PROPERTY, THE STATE HOUSE TRUST, AND INDIVIDUALS AND
ORGANIZATIONS HAVING A DEMONSTRATED INTEREST AND
COMPETENCE IN THE PRESERVATION OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.

(E)    NOTHING HEREIN SHALL LIMIT OR SUPERSEDE THE
POWERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMISSION ON THE
CAPITAL CITY, THE STATE HOUSE TRUST OR THE COMMISSION ON
ARTISTIC PROPERTY. EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN
THIS ACT, THIS ACT SHALL NOT TRANSFER THE MANAGEMENT OF
ANY REAL PROPERTY OR INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
THE STATE WITHIN THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS OR ITS IMMEDIATE
ENVIRONS. PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE 78A,
SECTION 16 OF THIS CODE, THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MAY
TRANSFER PROPERTY WITHIN UNITS OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF
THE STATE GOVERNMENT[[, AND MAY DESIGNATE THE COUNCIL ON
THE STATE CAPITAL TO ACT FOR THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OR
THE STATE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ANY REAL PROPERTY OR
INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS OR
ITS IMMEDIATE ENVIRONS]].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 181E(1)(4) be and it is hereby added to Article
41 — Governor — Executive and Administrative Departments,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as follows:
