SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 14D be and it is hereby added
to Article 78A — Public Works, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article 78A - Public Works

14D.

(A) THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS SERVES AS THE SEAT OF
MARYLAND GOVERNMENT, AND STRUCTURES HOUSING THE
LEGISLATIVE, EXECUTIVE AND JUDICIAL BRANCHES OF STATE
GOVERNMENT ARE LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. THE STATE
CAPITAL OF ANNAPOLIS, FIRST SETTLED IN THE 17TH CENTURY,
CONTAINS MANY STRUCTURES AND SITES OF GREAT HISTORICAL
AND ARCHITECTURAL MERIT, AND THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS AS A
