Prince George's County — Salary of Orphans Court Judges

FOR the purpose of changing the salary of the Judges of
the Orphans Court of Prince George's County.

BY repealing

BY adding to

Article — Estates and Trusts
Section 2-108(q)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2—108(q) of Article — Estates and
Trusts, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 2—108(g) be and it is hereby added to Article —
Estates and Trusts, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as follows:

(Q) THE SALARY OF EACH ASSOCIATE JUDGE OF THE

COURT FOR PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY SHALL BE $10,500 PER

ANNUM, AND THE SALARY OF THE CHIEF JUDGE SHALL BE $12,000
PER ANNUM.

[[SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the Judges of the Orphans Court
in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the
Judges of the Orphans Court shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.]]
