BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle Laws

Section 3-412

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1970 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3-412 of Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle
Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws

3-412.

(A)    Every Class A and Class D registration plate
issued under this subtitle shall expire at midnight on
the 31st day of March of each succeeding registration
year unless annual validation tabs have been applied for
and issued by the Department and displayed upon plates as
provided in § 3—410(c). The registration plates of all
other classes of vehicles shall expire on the 30th day of
April of each succeeding registration year unless annual
validation tabs have been applied for and issued by the
Department and displayed upon the registration plates as
provided in § 3—410(c). From time to time thereafter
the Commissioner shall evaluate the condition of
registration plates issued under this article and shall
provide for the manufacture and issuance of new
registration plates in his discretion. Such new
registration plates shall be issued and subsequently
validated in the manner prescribed in this part.

(B)        THE REGISTRATION PLATES ISSUED UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE FOR CLASS E VEHICLES, "DUMP SERVICE
REGISTRATION", AS DEFINED IN § 3-806, SHALL EXPIRE AT
MIDNIGHT ON THE 30TH DAY OF MAY OF EACH SUCCEEDING YEAR
UNLESS ANNUAL VALIDATION TABS HAVE BEEN APPLIED FOR AND
ISSUED BY THE ADMINISTRATION AND DISPLAYED UPON THE
PLATES AS PROVIDED IN § 3-410 (C).

(C)    EVERY OWNER OF A "DUMP SERVICE REGISTRATION"
VEHICLE SUBJECT TO REGISTRATION HEREUNDER SHALL MAKE
APPLICATION TO THE ADMINISTRATION UPON THE APPROPRIATE
FORM OR FORMS AND SHALL PAY FOR THE LICENSE YEAR
1975-1976 THE ANNUAL FEE AS DEFINED IN § 3-806 PLUS AN
ADDITIONAL FEE OF 1/12 OF THE ANNUAL FEE WITH 6 PERCENT
FOR EACH VEHICLE TO BE LICENSED. IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS THE
ANNUAL FEE WILL BE AS DEFINED IN §3-806.
