AN ACT concerning
Howard County Volunteer Firemen — Workmen's
Compensation
FOR the purpose of raising the number of active members
in certain volunteer fire companies in Howard County
eligible for Workmen's Compensation.
BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,
Article 101 — Workmen's Compensation
Section 34 (c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 34(c) of Article 101 - Workmen's
Compensation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 101 — Workmen's Compensation
34.
(c) The County Commissioners of Kent County and
County Council of Howard County shall secure compensation
to volunteer firemen or to their dependents in case of
death of such firemen, by insuring the payment of such
compensation in the State Accident Fund or in any private
stock corporation or mutual association authorized to
provide such insurance. The County Commissioners of
Prince George's County and the County Council of Anne
Arundel County shall secure compensation to volunteer
firemen, or to their dependents in case of death, by
insuring the payment of such compensation in the State
Accident Fund or in any private stock company or mutual
association licensed to provide such insurance. The
County Commissioners of Kent County shall annually levy
