However, the foregoing hours may be modified by the
county council by resolution, upon request of the
Friendship Heights [Citizens' Committee] VILLAGE COUNCIL.
66-5.
Any member of the "Friendship Heights [Citizens'
Committee"] VILLAGE COUNCIL" may be removed by the county
council upon the charge of malfeasance or misfeasance in
office, preferred by two or more members of said
[committee] VILLAGE COUNCIL, after due notice of [said]
THE after due notice of [said] THE charge and after an
opportunity has been given for defense thereon, and a
hearing to be fixed therefor. The [said] treasurer of
[said] THE "Friendship Heights [Citizens' Committee"]
VILLAGE COUNCIL" and other officers and employees of
[said] THE villages shall hold their offices or positions
at the pleasure of [said] THE "Friendship Heights
[Citizens' Committee"] VILLAGE COUNCIL" or in conformity
with contracts which may be made by and between [said
committee] THE VILLAGE COUNCIL and [such] WHATEVER
officers or employees for a period not to extend beyond
the limits of the terms of office of [said committee] THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL.
66-6.
[Said] THE "Friendship Heights [Citizens' Committee]
VILLAGE COUNCIL" [shall] [[MAY]] shall not expend for
material or work in connection with any one undertaking a
sum exceeding [three hundred dollars] $300, without
having first advertised the specifications therefor and
inviting bids for [the same] IT, after which [said
committee] THE VILLAGE COUNCIL may purchase [such]
WHATEVER material or make contract for [such] THE work,
or for [such] THE work done by employed labor, or
otherwise, as it may deem best.
66-7.
The [said] county council [may], upon recommendation
of the "Friendship Heights [Citizens' Committee"] VILLAGE
COUNCIL", MAY adopt [such] regulations with respect to
dumping of garbage, sanitation, erection of buildings,
care of property or other police or health regulations,
and provide penalties for the [violation thereof]
violation thereof [[VIOLATIONS]], [as said] as THE
council may deem proper, which regulations may be
enforced by or through [said committee] THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL.
