AN ACT concerning

Retirement Credit — [[Members of the Employees'
Retirement system]] Employees' and Teachers'

FOR the purpose of permitting members of [[the Employees'
Retirement System]] certain retirement systems, to
purchase Federal service, out-of-state municipal
service, or a combination of both, under certain
conditions and at a certain time[[.]]; and
requiring persons who become members of the
Employees' Retirement System after a certain time to
file a statement relating to the performance of
certain services for which they claim credit.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 9(16) be and it is hereby
added to Article 73B — Pensions, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to
read as follows:

(16) A MEMBER MAY RECEIVE IN THE YEAR IN WHICH HE
RETIRES CREDIT TOWARDS ELIGIBILITY FOR BENEFITS PROVIDED
