payment of the principal and interest of any bonds or
notes heretofore or hereafter issued by the Commission
for the acquisition of parklands in that portion of the
Metropolitan District lying within Prince George's County
pursuant to the authority of this subheading and within
the limitations on indebtedness prescribed in this
subheading. However, the proceeds of the tax shall also
be paid to the Commission notwithstanding the fact that
no principal or interest payments may be due with respect
to any such bonds or notes and notwithstanding the fact
that no such bonds or notes may be issued or outstanding
in any one fiscal year. It is the intent of this
subsection to provide the Commission with funds to
finance the acquisition of parklands within that portion
of the Metropolitan District lying within Prince George's
County, either from current revenues or by the issue of
bonds or notes, and furthermore, to provide the
Commission with funds necessary for the maintenance,
operation, and development of parkland so acquired.]]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning
Montgomery County — Land Development and
Redevelopment

FOR the purpose of adding a new Article to the
Constitution to authorize the General Assembly to
permit Montgomery County, for the purposes of
developing, redeveloping, renovating or
rehabilitating areas within the boundaries of a
central business district as designated in the local
zoning ordinance which have been designated by an
adopted and approved master plan for high intensity
office, high intensity commerical or high density
residential use, or a combination of such uses, and
in each of which is located a rapid rail transit
station site which has received final approval, or a
portion of such site, to acquire, by purchase,
lease, gift, condemnation or other legal means and
