AN ACT concerning

Volunteer Firemen, Rescue Squads, and Ambulance Services-
Group Life Insurance

FOR the purpose of providing Group Life Insurance to
registered members of volunteer fire, rescue squad,
or ambulance service organizations; establishing
certain minimum standards for eligibility;
designating the policyholder; providing for certain
variations as to the payment of premiums; imposing
certain obligations on the insurer; and imposing
certain limitations in the selection of amounts of
insurance.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 425 be and it is hereby added
to Article 48A - Insurance Code, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to
read as follows:

THE LIVES OF A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS MAY BE INSURED
UNDER A POLICY ISSUED TO ANY VOLUNTEER FIRE, FESCUE
SQUAD, OR AMBULANCE SERVICE ORGANIZATION, WHICH SHALL BE
DEEMED THE POLICYHOLDER, TO INSURE THE REGISTERED MEMBERS
