Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 78 — Public Service Commission Law

The compensation of the chairman shall be twelve
thousand dollars ($12,000.00) per year and that of each
of the other commissioners shall be nine thousand dollars
($9,000.00) per year. MEMBERS SHALL BE REIMBURSED FOR
EXPENSES INCURRED WHILE ENGAGED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF
THEIR DUTIES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD TRAVEL
REGULATIONS.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections
4 and 17A(c) of Article 78B — Facing Commission, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 78B - Racing Commission
4.
Said Commission shall meet at such times and places
within the State of Maryland as the Commission shall
determine. The members thereof shall be entitled to
their treasonable] expenses for each meeting so attended,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARD TRAVEL REGULATIONS. A
majority of the commissioners shall constitute a quorum
for the transaction of any business, for the performance
of any duty, or for the exercise of any power of the
Commission. The Commission may appoint such officers,
inspectors and experts as may be necessary who shall
serve during the pleasure of said Commission and may
appoint a secretary and such clerks and stenographers as
may be necessary, who shall be members of the merit
system. The secretary shall keep a record of all
proceedings of the Commission, and shall preserve all
books, maps, documents and papers belonging to the
Commission or intrusted to its care, and perform such
other duties as the Commission may prescribe. The
Commission shall make an annual report to the Secretary
of Licensing and Regulation on or before the first day of
January, which report shall include a statement of
receipts and disbursements by the Commission, and any
additional information and recommendations which the
Commission may deem of value.
