LAWS OF MARYLAND

[Ch. 49

"SERVICE" MEANS ANY ACTIVITY PERFORMED IN WHOLE OR
IN PART FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCIAL GAIN, AND INCLUDES
ANY SALE, RENTAL, LEASING, OR LICENSING FOR USE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 83, §37(a).

The phrase "bat not limited to" is deleted as
unnecessary since use of the word "includes"
is not intended in any sense to be
exclusionary or limiting. The maxim of
expressio unius est exclusio alterius and
doctrines of similar implication are not
intended, therefore, to be made applicable by
reason of this deletion.

The only other changes are in style.

"TRADE OR COMMERCE" INCLUDES ALL ECONOMIC ACTIVITY
WITHIN THE STATE WHICH INVOLVES OR RELATES TO ANY
COMMODITY OR SERVICE.

Art. 83, §37(b).

The only changes are in style.
