37.

[(a) The county boards of education shall hold an
annual meeting each year on the second Tuesday in July,
or as near as possible thereto in July, except that in
Montgomery County such annual meeting shall be held on or
before the tenth day of January in each year, and in
Prince George's County the annual meeting shall be held
as provided in § 36C (e) of this article. At this
meeting the board shall elect one of its members to serve
as president and one to serve as vice-president. Other
meetings shall be held as the duties and business of the
board may require. The members of the county boards of
education shall receive neither salary nor compensation,
but each member shall receive reimbursement for traveling
and other expenses incident to attending the meetings and
transacting the business of the boards. In Calvert
County each member of the Board of Education shall
receive the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00)
annually for traveling and other expenses. In Carroll
County each member of the Board of Education shall
receive the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00)
annually for traveling and other expenses. In Cecil
County each member of the Board of Education shall
receive $600.00 annually for traveling and other
expenses. In Kent County each member of the Board of
Education shall receive the sum of six hundred dollars
($600.00) annually for traveling and other expenses. In
Garrett County each member of the Board of Education
shall receive the sum of two hundred ($200) annually for
traveling and other expenses. In Charles County the
chairman of the Board of Education shall receive the sum
of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) annually for traveling
and other expenses, and the members of the Board of
Education shall receive the sum of six hundred dollars
($600.00) annually for traveling and other expenses.

(b)     All final actions of county boards of
education shall be taken at a public meeting, the minutes
of which shall likewise be public provided, however,
that, with respect to deliberations on land and site
acquisitions, personnel and labor relations, the board
shall have the power to meet and deliberate in executive
session.

(c)     In Talbot County, each member of the county
Board of Education shall receive reimbursement in the
amount of three hundred dollars ($300.00) each year for
travel and shall receive twenty—five dollars ($25.00) per
each meeting attended on behalf of the county for other
expenses.

(d)   In Allegany County, each member of the Board of
Education shall receive reimbursement in the amount of
