governing body, may accept such offer and may authorize
any officer of the State or of the political subdivision
as the case may be, to receive such aid and assistance.

(c) [Whenever] IP any person, firm or corporation
[shall offer] OFFERS to the State or to any political
subdivision thereof any aid or assistance, the State and
the political subdivision, acting as in (b), above, [is
hereby authorized to] MAY accept same.

(D)                    THE STATE MAY ACCEPT ANY AND ALL

ALLOTMENTS OF FEDERAL FUNDS AND COMMODITIES AND MANAGE
AND DISPOSE OF SAME IN WHATEVER MANNER MAY BE REQUIRED BY
FEDERAL LAW, AND MAY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FEDERAL
DISASTER RELIEF ACT OF 1974 AND ANY AMENDMENTS AND
SUPPLEMENTS THERETO, AND ANY OTHER FEDERAL ACT RELATING
TO GRANTS AND PUBLIC ASSISTANCE FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS
ARTICLE.

10.

In carrying out the provisions of this subtitle, the
Governor, the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional
Services, and the executive officers or governing bodies
of the political subdivisions of the State [are directed
to] SHALL utilize the services, equipment, supplies and
facilities of existing departments, offices and agencies
of the State and of the political subdivisions thereof to
the maximum extent practicable, and the officers and
personnel of all such departments, offices and agencies
[are directed to] SHALL cooperate with and extend such
services and facilities to the Governor or to the
Secretary or to the Director and to the civil defense AND
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS organizations throughout the State
upon request.

12.

It [shall be] IS the duty of every organization for
civil defense AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS established
pursuant to this subtitle and of the officers thereof, to
execute and enforce such orders, rules and regulations as
may be made by the Governor under authority of this
subtitle.

14.

(a) The term "person in civil defense service" in
this subtitle means a person who is a member of or who
works for the State civil defense AND DISASTER
PREPAREDNESS organization or a local civil defense AND
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS organization.
