Article 88B — State Police

Section 34B

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 34B be and it is hereby added
to Article 88B — State Police, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article 88B - State Police

34B.

ANY PERSON WHO, ON JULY 1, 1973, IS RECEIVING A
PENSION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 31 OR 34 OF THIS
ARTICLE SHALL RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT EQUAL TO 11
PERCENT OF THE PENSION HE OR SHE RECEIVED AS OF JUNE 30,
1973. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS SECTION, THE PENSION UPON
WHICH THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT IS CALCULATED DOES NOT
INCLUDE THE SUPPLEMENTARY PAYMENTS MADE UNDER SECTION 31A
OR THE ADJUSTMENT OF RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE MADE UNDER
SECTION 34A.

SECTION 2., AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
