(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 24-1 (e) , (f), (g) , (h) , (i) , (j) ,
(k) , and (1), respectively of Article 33 — Election Code,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and they are hereby
renumbered to be Sections 24—1(f), (g), (h), (i), (j),
(k), (1) and (m), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 24—1 (e) be and it is hereby added to Article 33 —
Election Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:

Article 33 — Election Code

24-1.

Every person convicted of any offense under the
provisions of this section shall be punished by
imprisonment in jail or in the penitentiary for not less
than six months nor more than five years. The following
offenses shall be applicable to any actions or conduct of
any board acting under the provisions of this article:

(E) KNOWINGLY OR WILFULLY TO [[REGISTER TO VOTE]]
FALSIFY HIS RESIDENCE WITH THE INTENT TO REGISTER IN THE
WRONG DISTRICT OR PRECINCT;

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
