Section 521(1)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 521(1) be and it is hereby
added to Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

521.

(L) NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING IN THIS SECTION TO
THE CONTRARY, IN KENT COUNTY THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SECTION DO NOT APPLY TO ESTABLISHMENTS WITH LESS THAN
EIGHT PERSONS ON ANY ONE SHIFT AT ANY STORE LOCATION,
EXCLUDING SECURITY PERSONNEL AND CONCESSIONS OPERATED BY
DIFFERENT MERCHANTS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Charles County — Volunteer Fire and Rescue Associations

FOR the purpose of providing for changes in the method of
selection and in the terms of certain members of the
Board of Fire and Rescue Commissioners; providing
for correct wording in reference to the
Commissioners; providing for the deletion of a
nonpertinent portion of the law; providing for the
deletion in the limits of the rescue tax levies by
the County Commissioners; and providing to change
the name of the rescue squad association.
