AN ACT concerning
Prince George's County — Notice by Advertising;
Expense a Lien on Property
FOR the purpose of increasing the price paid per item to
newspapers for publishing notices of public auction;
and clarifying the language.
BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,
Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes
Section 76(a)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 76(a) of Article 81 - Revenue and
Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

76.
(a) At any time after the expiration of thirty
days from the mailing of the statement and notice, the
collector shall cause to be published, four times, once a
week for four successive weeks in one or more newspapers
having a general circulation in the county in which the
property is located, a notice that the property will, on
a day and at the place named in [such] THE notice, be
sold at public auction; provided that in Prince George's
County [such] THE notice shall be published in three
newspapers at a price of [two dollars and fifty cents
($2.50)] $5.00 per item for each newspaper, which sum of
money shall be charged against the property offered for
